MYLÈNE FARMER and JOHN FROST

Photo session of Mylene Farmer for the single Maman a tort .
The first photo shoot was made in 1983 long before the release of the 45 rpm. John Frost had met Mylène who was then a model and had photographed her for a possible book. Laurent Boutonnat and Mylène, seduced by these shots, used one of them for the cover of Mylène’s first 45 rpm released in its first version in March 1984. A second photo session with John Frost was organized in 1984 for the release of the second version of the 45 Tours during the summer of 1984 (with a new cover).

MYLÈNE FARMER and MARINO PARISOTTO VAY

Mylene worked with Marino Parisotto Vay in two occasions. The first photo session for the Innamoramento album (cover and booklet).

They met in Miami USA in 1998 and used a beautiful nature around Key Biscane to produce such memorable images. Some photos will be taken on the beach during the day, others at night.
The photos came out so well that that have been used for the Mylenium Tour poster and program as well as for the covers of the singles L’ÂME-STRAM-GRAM and JE TE REND TON AMOUR .

MYLENE FARMER AND ANDRÉ RAU

ANDRE RAU did a few photo session with Mylene Farmer through the years

First photo session in 1994 to promote the release of the film Giorgino at the cinema on October 05, 1994.

Mylène Farmer – Photographer François Gaillard

In 1986, two photo reports for OK! and Télé 7 Jours are made in Réserve d’animaux Normandy on the farm of Gaëtan, a friend of Mylène who raises wild animals, especially for the cinema. And, among the animals with which Mylène poses, a monkey named Cheta.

MYLENE FARMER California filming by Marianne Rosenstiehl

Mylene Farmer worked with Rosenstiehl since very beginning of her musical career and there are many precious early Mylene shots thanks to this collaboration. California filming is the last time Marianne officially worked with Mylene. The series of photos is simply incredible. It shows so many angles of Mylene – it is beyond words. So enjoy!

A history of one photo: Simon Hawk for Madame Figaro

A history of one photo: Simon Hawk for Madame Figaro
So now let’s solve a little mystery behind these photos. First and foremost who is this photographer Simon Hawk? Turned out, under the perky pseudo-name is a man we all know quite well – it is no one other than John Nollet – Mylene’s hair stylist and hair creator for the last 20 + years.

A History of one photo – Mylene Farmer and Sylvie Lancrenon

Once upon a time a very gifted photographer Sylvie Lancrenon and an inspiring model and a dream of any photographer Mylene Farmer decided to collaborate.
Together, they developed “Fragile”, a gorgeous book of ninety unpublished photos of the star, greeted the public on May 15. Photographer Sylvie Lancrenon dreamed of reproducing and displaying these photos in XXL format (makes perfect sense!). It is, for a few days, they were exhibited at the Parisian gallery Acte2. And it is quite naturally that the singer Mylène Farmer, yet so little worldly, recently attended the opening of the exhibition. Story of an appearance…

Mylene Farmer and Paolo Roversi

The photos taken from this shoot taken at the beginning of 1999 (initially for the promotion of the Innamoramento album) have not been validated by Mylène. Some were, however, published by the “Instant Mag” fanzine in 2004.

MYLENE FARMER AND ELLEN VON UNWERTH

My dear friends, as I continue my coverage of the photographers Mylene has worked, Ellen Von Unwerth is definitely the one whose work you have noticed from just browsing an internet. The reason is most likely a slight shock and at the same time your mouth is probably salivating as your heart skips the beat… somewhere between the mental confusion and the feast for the senses…It is so sexually charged and so unfiltered in the basic desire mixed with the heightened sense of visual aesthetics – it is all together rebellious, honest and almost explosive in its powerful delivery.

MYLÈNE FARMER AND HERVÉ LEWIS

HERVÉ LEWIS (formerly known as Rambo Kowalski) met Mylène at the time of Maman a tort in 1984.
In 1985, he was invited to participate to the creation of the clip Plus Grandir in which he played the role of “the rapist” (then under his name, Rambo Kowalski). But its not the only time he grants us his present on the screen. We see him again in 1986 in the famous clip Libertine in the role of the duelist (very beginning of the video)
