INSÉPARABLES

Mylene Farmer INSÉPARABLES

Inséparables is a song from Mylène Farmer’s eighth studio album, Bleu Noir (2010).

Music for this song is composed by Moby “as you can probably tell” 😊It ultimately feels like Moby as his other songs from Bleu Noir album. It was made from a model sent by Moby to Mylène. All the instruments on the model are played by Moby himself. Did you know that? Pretty amazing. I am catching myself on listening to this song on repeat for hours…it soothes my Soul…

As you listen to the lyrics, they at first glance don’t seem to connect with the name of the song “Inséparables” but as you think about it a bit more, you realize that just because you physically separate from someone it doesn’t mean you have separated them from your heart. You may carry someone in you for years without even seeing them (until you do!), and they continue being a part of you and for that you are inseparable. Its bitter-sweet with the touch of a enlightening sadness when you know you are not meant to stay together and all you can do for your love is set them free…

Production: Moby & Mylène Farmer
Programming: Eric Chevalier
Piano, Wurlitzer, Hammond organ, artistic collaboration: Yvan Cassar
Sound recording: Jérôme Devoise
Mixing: Jérôme Devoise (assisted by Tristan Monrocq) at Studio Guillaume Tell
Mylene wrote lyrics in two languages (French and English)

I personally like French version more as the poetry is so much better (no offence, dearest Mylene!)

An English version was only played in Belarus and Russia during Timeless 2013. I am not sure why it was chosen to be so but I suppose to give those Russian some break from the French language. Well, the French is what attracts the Russians in the first place 😊 so I am not sure if it was a hit or a miss…Ether way I enjoy a “more casual” Americanized version as I am personally a sucker for her accent when she sings in English (you have probably noticed that from my previous chapters – see I want you to want me and many songs …)

Mylene Farmer INSÉPARABLES

To my ear, French language is generally much more melodical, even the vocalizing consonants is so pleasing. Is it just me? I admit, I love anything connects me to France…maybe its my past life or something…When I was young I have had recurring dreams when I was in old times Paris (perhaps, the Libertine times) and I knew all the streets and places, the entire dream would be in French. When I finally visited Paris for the first time in October 2006, it was not like it was in my dreams (perhaps, the fast that a few centuries passed since then has something to do with it :-)) but I of course love it very much – how can I not?

Timeless 2013

The live Timeless 2013 In my opinion just rocks! Everything is perfect: the simplicity, how she carries herself, how confident and calm she is…How much she is in control of her own feelings and the feelings of the crowd… She creates the atmosphere, the mood, the energy as if bringing the space and time into to the Timeless (!!) emotional vortex – It consumes you entirely as it sets you flying…No wonder her next album after that was Interstellar…Did you notice how the crowd literally exhales in one united breath on the words “s’arrête ici” and  “tout va s’arrêter”… This song was a last in the Timeless setlist. It was a beautiful ending to the unforgettable spectacle.

We are, like puppies, at her feet and totally at her mercy. Finally, fully tapped into her own power she rules with the sensitivity and leads us to the place we don’t want to return from…I float in my own memories of the lost love, finding my smile and the unfilled void in my soul.. and that’s where I want her to stay with me forever. How about you?

Bleu noir is the Mylène’s eighth studio album, released on 6 of December 2010.

Farmer’s label set up a web site to promote the album on 3 November 2010. For some of her fans this album is a return to her roots. It has drawn favorable comparisons to Innamoramento and also the albums prior –  Anamorphosée. This album seems to depict the artist as a woman at her prime, confident in her achievements and able to express herself without sacrificing her integrity. No secret, some fans were greatly disappointed with the Boutonnat absence and instead – an Americanized Mylene and techno sounds and unusual melodies. But I personally welcome it like i do every new Mylene’s album.

Farmer has written the lyrics and Moby, Archive and RedOne have composed the music for the album. The first single from the album is “Oui mais… non“, composed by RedOne. The single was released on 11 October 2010.

The album entered the French Digital Chart at number one, with over 9,100 downloads. The next week, the album also entered the physical chart at number one, selling 139,176 units in the first week. Both performances were deemed records in terms of sales. Bleu noir is Farmer’s first studio album since 1991’s L’Autre to outperform its predecessor in terms of national sales. In 2010, Bleu noir has sold 328,783 copies (312,978 physical and 15,805 digital).

Synchronicity…I gave birth to my 2 girls in 2008 and 2010 respectively as Mylene released her two albums Point de suture (2008) and Blue Noir (2010) …You got to love that! 😊

MY POETRY INSPIRED BY THE SONG

Miss you to tears
Miss you to fears
That you might be not
As paralyzed as I am
By the wave taking me over
Again and again –
The never- ending thought
of You…
Miss you to holes
In my memories
Miss you to aches
In my dreams
Reminiscing over and over
Replaying none-stop –
The never – fading thought
of You…

lyrics with translation

et tu vas me manquer...

ENGLISH VERSION
Hey it's good to see you
And you're doing well
But, deep down I love you
As you can probably tell
I wished I could believe
I could be the one
To care for and love you baby
As I could have done
I know now that everything had
To end this way
I wanted to believe in love
That it would finally stay
And I send you to the world
And I send you with a kiss
I know now that you're the one
That I will always miss
Hey it's good to see you
And you're doing well
But deep down I love you
And I feel like hell
I wished I could believe
I could be the one
To care for and love you baby
As I could have done
I know now that everything had
To end this way
I wanted to believe in love
That it would finally stay
And I send you to the world
And I send you with a kiss
But I know now that you're the one
That I will always miss
