Thierry Mugler passed away on January 23, 2022…he was 73 years old.
On many occasions, Mylène wore the outfits of this designer, for the video “XXL“, the NRJ Music Awards 2000, the video “Souviens-toi du jour…”. But above all, Thierry Mugler is the designer of the very first show of Mylène in 1989.
He was widely known for designs with broad shoulders and sharp tailoring, which drew on 1940s and 50s glamour.
Mugler’s designs were worn by celebrities including David Bowie and Lady Gaga. In 2019, he designed a dress for Kim Kardashian’s appearance at the Met Gala.
In later years, his brand became famous for perfume. Angel is being the signature scent.
“We are devastated to announce the passing of Mr Manfred Thierry Mugler on Sunday January 23rd 2022,” a post on Mugler’s official Facebook account confirmed. “May his soul rest in peace”.
His agent told AFP news agency that he died of natural causes.
Mugler was born in Strasbourg in December 1948. At the age of 20, he settled in Paris and in 1973 launched his label “Cafe de Paris” a year before founding “Thierry Mugler..
“I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, but fashion took off for me very quickly in Paris as soon as I showed my sketches,” he recently told Women’s Wear Daily.
He was sometimes criticized for his extravagant designs, which often transformed the female body with the use of unusual materials like rubber, painted latex, Plexiglas and metal.
Mugler became known for his designs featuring plunged necklines and constricted waists.
His designs have been worn by names that include David Bowie, George Michael, Sharon Stone and Rihanna. Mugler’s connection with Bowie was so strong that he dressed him for his wedding to Iman.
Mugler sold the rights to his name to Clarins in 1997, several years after launching his perfume Angel, with the brand.
He appeared to retire from fashion in the early 2000s, choosing to create one off pieces for Lady Gaga and costumes for Beyoncé. Mugler also designed Kim Kardashian’s 2019 Met Gala dress.
His agent told AFP that he was planning to announce new collaborations this week.
People from the fashion world have paid tribute to the designer.
Fashion designer Brian Atwood said Mugler was a “constant inspiration”.
Thank you for your memorable designs and RIP dear Thierry Mugler

Pascal Nègre has just denied the rumors of “Public” by posting on twitter: “Fake news”.
This Sunday, January 9, 2022, Stromae made a remarkable appearance as part of TF1 ‘s newscast . As Gala points out, the interview conducted by Anne-Claire Coudray was recorded the day before in the premises of the first channel. For seven minutes, Stromae answered the journalist’s countless questions. But one of them was: “In your songs, you talk about a lot of loneliness, has the music helped you to free yourself from it?”. Stromae ‘s hard-hitting lyrics highlight the complicated moments he has lived through in the past.
He admits in his lyrics for the song “Hell”, I sometimes had suicidal thoughts / I am not very proud of it / We sometimes believe that it is the only way to silence them / These thoughts which make me live a hell”, he said let know in song. A sublime interpretation which had the merit of creating a buzz. He did very calmly sitting by the table in the studio TF1 across Anne-Claire Coudray
Last October, the young dad conquered the crowds with his song entitled “Health”. In February 2023, the darling of Coralie Barbier will begin his new tour to support his new album “Multitude” (coming out on March 4, 2022).

So why are we talking about him on Mylene Farmer news page?
According to Public.fr, Stromae joined an icon of French music after his interview with Anne-Claire Coudray. Her name ? You guessed it – Mylène Farmer ! The two artists visited a chic Parisian restaurant. No mentioning which one.
Does it mean they have discussed a possible collaboration? Well, and why not? Mylene has never hidden her admiration for Stromae.
In 2010 in the columns of Paris Match , she was full of praise about him:“I discovered Stromae, this really original young artist. I really like his title “So we dance”, his looks, his phrasing and his distinctive tone of voice. He says serious things in a light tone“.
That is all we know so far, ladies and gentlemen. Lets hope the dinner together will lead to the creative “dessert” for us all to enjoy. Once upon a time there were lunches with Moby held in a little New York café. And see how well it all worked out in the end. Maybe, we have another exciting duet in the future. LP meets with Mylene and Natalie Delepine (and the precious Lulu). Don’t you just love Mylene’s laugh on the background as she is filming? (sadly, the video was removed the very next day – oops…)
And where is my invite? 🙂 I could bake some bread for the occasion… 🙂 But seriously, what are you ladies up to?…
p.s. this is Nathalie Delépine‘s doggie

OK, my dear friends, although I am somewhat used to the coincidences that I encountered throughout the creating of this website (for my regular readers, it not a news) but this one blew me away this morning. All the books listed below are my favorite and daily go-to list of reading. A few days something possessed me to revisit Wayne Dyer’s The Power of Intention. I love his work by the way so much that I have chosen him to be my surrogate “father figure” along with Louise Hay to be my surrogate “mother figure”. They are like a family to me. Deepak and Neale could be my “uncles” 🙂
Can you imagine my shock when I saw Mylene’s drawings for it’s cover!?! I thought I have completely lost my mind and clearly overdid on the inspirational/spiritual readings and Mylene herself for that matter. LOL 🙂 🙂
But c’mon! Isn’t it once again is a beautiful Synchronicity – a sign tailored so beautifully!! I am humbled to get a confirmation that what I am doing here is exactly what I need to do. I am in the flow of the same energy as our Mylene and all of you who is reading this. So magical, isn’t it?

11 concerts in 8 cities and in 4 different countries!
Indeed, as reported by the French media, the companion of Benoît Di Sabatino will put the dishes in the big for what should be “one of the most daring tours ever produced” , according to Télé Poche . In detail, the new muse of Jean-Paul Gaultier will do 11 concerts in the stadiums of eight different cities, in France, Switzerland , Belgium, but also in Russia where she enjoys a very good popularity rating.
Regarding the scenography of her future show, it should be inspired by U2 concerts with a huge central stage, according to information from Télé Poche . Faithful, Mylène Farmer will continue her collaboration with the same technicians as on her last tour, who have become “a second family that she missed” .
Information that should appeal to fans of the singer. Unfortunately for them, we will have to wait many more months before being able to attend what should be the show of the year 2023 in France!

CANNES, France, July 2021 – Women will outnumber men on the Cannes Film Festival jury this year – but members including French actress Melanie Laurent said on Tuesday they dreamed of a time when female representation would no longer be newsworthy in the cinema industry.
The world’s biggest movie festival, along with rival showcases in the likes of Venice, has long come under scrutiny over the low number of women directors in the running for top awards or in positions of influence.
At the Cannes extravaganza, set to kick off on Tuesday with the premiere of Leos Carax’s musical “Annette”, U.S. director Spike Lee will head up the jury that picks the winner of the top Palme D’Or award, the first Black person to do so.
Five women will make up the nine-strong panel, however – Laurent, U.S. actress Maggie Gyllenhaal, film directors Jessica Hausner and Mati Diop and singer Mylene Farmer.
“My dream would be for this to be the first and last festival where there is a debate about women,” Laurent told a news conference on the French Riviera, flanked by jury members wearing face masks amid tight COVID-19 controls.
Diop, whose debut feature “Atlantics” won a top award at Cannes in 2019, said she also hoped the cinema world would one day be free of such distinctions.
“I don’t know if in our lifetime we’ll get to the stage when we’ll no longer have to put ‘woman’ before ‘director’,” Diop said.
Only four films directed by women were picked among the 24 vying for the Palme d’Or this year, although the number of female directors present in other parallel events and competitions has increased, organisers said.
“This is mirroring that our society is now ready for a certain change that should have happened earlier,” said Austrian director Hausner, whose “Little Joe” feature film was selected to compete for the Palme d’Or in 2019.
Gyllenhaal, known for her roles in “Sherrybaby” and “Crazy Heart”, said the female gaze mattered in films and other artforms.
“(There’s an) extra little muscle you have to exercise to turn it into something that as a woman I could relate to,” Gyllenhaal said of movies with male leads or female characters expressed by a male director.
