LOVE SONG

Love Song is a song from Mylène Farmer’s tenth studio album, Interstellaires (2015).

It is a futuristic Mylene with all the futuristic electro sounds is bringing in all the timeless themes of a human aspirations: it is all about LOVE – from the beginning of the life on the planet and through the distant future. The technology will change, the lifestyle will be adjusted to live in the techno world, but the craving for love will no doubts remain a part of a human nature as long as it exists. The text is as usually open to the interpretations: it is melancholic and aching from loneliness and possibly even lost love. “Love song of the left behind”. It is though sprinkled by the new technological age terms such as ” Résistances Dissonances”…Feels like the space ship crew heading to the new galaxies and those who left on Earth (left behind) …Perhaps, its just my imagination and I am guilty of it as charged. Mylene’s lyrics and songs do provoke it in me greatly 😍

The song has much “heavier” arrangement than those we have used to from the “conventional” Mylene. Martin Kierszenbaum has brought more rock guitar sounds than we’ve heard since, perhaps, Jeff Dahlgren’s influence back in Anamorphosée.

It’s a robust song with the depth, “serious” arrangements. and maturity to it.
