Thus, ‘disobedience’ might imply a connection to the higher ranks of Freemasonry, such as the grand master, a level that is reached after ascending through 33 degrees of initiation.

Yet, it’s worth paying attention to these clear indicators, especially when they come together in such a fascinating way. Don’t they make you think? One key requirement for joining Freemasonry is a belief in a higher power. Regardless of one’s religious affiliation, having faith as a primary spiritual belief is crucial. And I must say, I’m thoroughly captivated! There’s something exhilarating about uncovering the various, often hidden, facets of Mylène’s artistry. For me, it’s a resounding YES to the rich tapestry of innovations she scatters across the album like dazzling jewels.

It’s contemporary, right on the pulse of current trends in both arrangements and production style (a hearty bravo to Feder, as I’ve noted in my previous discussions). Mylène’s unerring taste and her intuitive knack for selecting music that resonates with her essence consistently guide her down the path of artistic triumph.

The trend that began in 2018 came to full fruition with the recent release of “L’Emprise,” four years later. This album showcases Mylène’s relentless pursuit of new sounds, styles, and expressions, revealing new facets of her artistic persona. Her collaboration with AaRON on “RAYON VERT” and her empowering (pun intended) partnerships with Woodkid, long-time friend Moby, and Darius Keeler highlight Mylène’s constant evolution and exploration in music.
These new alliances have enabled Mylène to venture into uncharted territories, blending her iconic style with fresh, contemporary influences. For us, the fans, this evolution is a fortunate turn, as we get to experience the depth and range of Mylène’s talent in ever-evolving and captivating new ways.
