GHOSTS (HOW CAN I MOVE ON) duet with Muse

It is a very big surprise that Mylène has in store for us for the Friday, December 9, 2022 with the release of this duo.

GHOSTS (HOW CAN I MOVE ON) duet with Muse

Her twelfth studio album, L’Emprise was released just two weeks ago and is already marked by very large success since it ranked number 1 in France, Belgium Wallonia and Switzerland for its first week. It also achieved the best start of the year in pure sales for an album in France where it was certified gold within a few days.
And now is a new duet with Muse called Ghosts (How Can I Move On). And it is a beautiful song. The lyrics and music create a gorgeous bi-lingual ballad.

The song written and composed by Matthew Bellamy and which can be found on Muse’s album, Will Of The People released on August 26th.
In this new version, Mylène has adapted part of the text in French.

Mylène had confided her admiration for the Muse group: “Very recently, I went to see a Muse concert and he is an artist that I find absolutely extraordinary, even breathtaking. And, if I had a song to cover, that would be Guiding Light, which I find beautiful.”
At the same time, in an interview in ” TV Magazine “: “I am impressed by Muse. And by Matthew Bellamy, who is as fascinating as Freddie Mercury!

Mylène was present on October 25 at the group’s concert at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. About this collaboration with Muse, Mylène shares her enthusiasm in the press release announcing the duet: “How not to give in to this invasive and powerful melancholy? Matthew Bellamy gave me this immense gift to accompany him on this magnificent song.

For his part, Matt Bellamy explains: “We always thought that this song and its emotion would gain momentum with a powerful female voice. We are delighted to share “Ghosts” with an incredible artist and voice, thank you Mylène. I hope you will like it
This is the first time that Muse has shared a song with a French artist.

ABOUT MUSE

Muse is an English rock band from Teignmouth, Devon, formed in 1994. The band consists of Matt Bellamy (lead vocals, guitar, keyboards), Chris Wolstenholme (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Dominic Howard (drums).

Muse released their debut album, Showbiz, in 1999, showcasing Bellamy’s falsetto and a melancholic alternative rock style. Their second album, Origin of Symmetry (2001), incorporated wider instrumentation and romantic classical influences and earned them a reputation for energetic live performances. Absolution (2003) saw further classical influence, with strings on tracks such as “Butterflies and Hurricanes“, and was the first of seven consecutive UK number-one albums.

Black Holes and Revelations (2006) incorporated electronic and pop elements, displayed in singles such as “Supermassive Black Hole“, and brought Muse wider international success. The Resistance (2009) and The 2nd Law (2012) explored themes of government oppression and civil uprising and cemented Muse as one of the world’s major stadium acts. Rolling Stone stated the band possessed “stadium-crushing songs”. Topping the US Billboard 200, their seventh album, Drones (2015), was a concept album about drone warfare and returned to a harder rock sound. Their eighth album, Simulation Theory (2018), prominently featured synthesisers and was influenced by science fiction and the simulation hypothesis. Their ninth album, Will of the People (2022), which combined many genres and themes from their previous albums, was released in August 2022.

Muse have won numerous awards, including two Grammy Awards, two Brit Awards, five MTV Europe Music Awards and eight NME Awards. In 2012 they received the Ivor Novello Award for International Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors. As of June 2016, they have sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

LYRICS WITH TRANSLATION

Now And Then
My Mind Drifts To A Place Where I Find You
Lost In My Head
There Are Unsolved Feelings That Haunt Me
It’s Too Late To Heal
I’ll Lay Them To Rest

How Can I Move On
When Everyone I See Still Talks About You
How Can I Move On
When All The Best Things I Have We Made Together
Here’s To Letting Go
But I Am Lost In A Void With Your Ghost And Our Memories
Lest We Forget
The Great Reset

Si Tu Pouvais Me Dire
Cicatrise
Mais Mon Ame N’a Plus De Peau

J’ai Tant Donne
Pourtant Je Crois
A Plus Grand, Plus Fort Que Tout
Tu Dis : C’est Trop Tard…
Mais Qu’as Tu Fait De Moi ?

A Chaque Mot Tu Me Donnes
L’envie D’aimer
Je Suis
Sans Vie, Sans Amour

A Chaque Mot, Je Pardonne
Pourtant, Je Dors Sur La Page
D’un Livre… Sans Auteur

Tu Es Sous Ma Peau
Mais Toi Perdu Dans Le Vide
Moi, Fantome, La… Sur Un Fil
J’ai Peur Qu’on Oublie
Tout Ce Qu’on Etait

How Can I Sleep With This Coldness Beside Me
How Can I Sleep With This Coldness Inside Me
I Know I Can’t Bring Back Your Love

How Can I Move On
When Everyone I See Still Talks About You
How Can I Move On
When All The Best Things I Have We Made Together
Here’s To Letting Go
But I Am Lost In A Void With Your Ghost And Our Memories
Lest We Forget
The Great Reset

Now And Then
My Mind Drives To A Place Where I Find You
Lost In My Head
There Are Unsolved Feelings That Haunt Me
It’s Too Late To Heal
I’ll Lay Them To Rest

How Can I Move On
When Everyone I See Still Talks About You
How Can I Move On
When All The Best Things I Have We Made Together
Here’s To Letting Go
But I Am Lost In A Void With Your Ghost And Our Memories
Lest We Forget
The Great Reset

If You Could Tell Me
Heal
But My Soul Has No Skin

I’ve Given So Much
Yet I Believe
To Bigger, Stronger Than All
You Say: It’s Too Late…
But what have you done with me?

With Every Word You Give Me
The desire To love
I Am
Without Life, Without Love

With Every Word I Forgive
Yet I Sleep On The Page
Of a Book… Without an Author

You Are Under My Skin
But You Lost In The Void
I, Ghost, The… On A Wire
I’m Afraid We’ll Forget
All That We Were

How Can I Sleep With This Coldness Beside Me
How Can I Sleep With This Coldness Inside Me
I Know I Can’t Bring Back Your Love

How Can I Move On
When Everyone I See Still Talks About You
How Can I Move On
When All The Best Things I Have We Made Together
Here’s To Letting Go
But I Am Lost In A Void With Your Ghost And Our Memories
Lest We Forget
The Great Reset
